Lori Bergstrom is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family psychotherapy and communication coaching. Lori maintains a private practice in Valencia, California. She also consults by phone and skype.
With over 15 years experience as a clinician, and a graduate of Phillips Graduate Institute, Lori is currently serving as private practice therapist working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are communication coaching, resolving couples conflict, empowering couples to heal their own relationships. Lori also has a specialization in testing and optimizing brain chemistry through biochemical nutrition. She has earned a specialty in Counseling the Gifted and Talented Adult, utilizing and interpreting DISC Assessments for Career Assessments and Life Coaching, EMDR, and Biofeedback.
In addition, Lori teaches at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and Santa Monica College, in Santa Monica, California since 1997. Professor Bergstrom has been teaching psychology and communication courses. Lori Bergstrom formerly served as an Adjunct Professor teaching Psychology courses at College of the Canyons from years 2001-2006.
Lori is a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist and coach. Her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She incorporates a blend of conventional, alternative and holistic approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with each client to help build on their unique strengths to identify and achieve personal and relational goals.
